Re: What is the single sprocket spacer made of?

From the FIRST Q&A System:

ID: 1062 Section: 1.1 Status: Answered Date Answered: 1/11/2005

Q: We seemed to get conflicting information, Are the tetras made from sched. 40 PVC or 80 PVC?

A: The tetras are made from Schedule 40 PVC. The 3/4 in. Schedule 80 PVC listed on the Advance Purchase List is for fabrication of spacers used in the drive train assembly.

[edit] here is another Q&A post about the spacers:
ID: 1084 Section: 5.1.2 Status: Answered Date Answered: 1/11/2005

Q: We did not receive this "special collar" used to separate the chain sprocket and the transmission box as showed in the video. It is not listed in the parts list. Would you please let me know how to get it?

A: The collar is item 4 on the Advance Purchase List sent to all teams. (6 in. of 3/4 in Schedule 80 PVC tubing or a 3/4 in Schedule 80 PVC pipe nipple.

Maybe Paul of John can give an offical answer if it is the SCH80 PVC that is used for this spacer needed.
