Re: If only 2 robots make it out

I think there are two ways to answer your question:

1) You're gonna have a whole lot more to worry about in the match than that 10 point bonus. If there are only 2 robots on the field vs an alliance of 3, you are going to be at a serious disadvantage. While that 10 point bonus may help, you need to have a strategy that will get you the most tetras and focus on the strength of the reamining end of your alliance.

2) I am under the impression that it is generally only courteous to place your robot on the field, even if it is not functioning. This happened a few times last year at regionals I was at. If the robot is still in the endzone, and the other two robots make it back to the endzone, then you can have your tenpoint bonus.

This is something you'll have to take out with the alliances you're involved with. Respect their decision. If there robot is too beat up to even make it to the field, there is probably a pretty legitimate reason. Try and plan a strategy for what you would do if that does occur, based around your own strengths and priorities.
