Haha, I was born in and lived in Michigan 'til I was 7 ... Not only do we have "Michigan speak" up here (from all the trolls
) we have "Yooper speak" as well!!
((And no matter how long I live in Michigan, it'll still be soda, not pop!!!!)) We're using a whole week in my Language & Society class to talk about the differences in speech between Lower Michigan, the UP and Wisconsin.

Same here!! I had bad K-Mart experiences when I was a kid. The K-Mart (in Midland, MI) was so gross and dirty ... ew. Then, we moved to Appleton, WI and had dirty K-marts; they all closed 5 years after we moved. Now, I won't shop there (though my mom swears that the K-Marts in Brookfield, WI are clean!!)
