If you are serious about starting a team, I think the best way is to talk to a LOT of people. The more people you talk to about it, the more likely things will come into place, often when you least expect it. For example, if you can get an associate Dean or something excited about it, you'd be surprised what can come about. Be prepared to set up a lot of meetings with people -- most of which may lead you nowhere or in circles -- but eventually you might find the key contacts.

I read associate Dean and was thinking it was odd that talking to Kamen at a college would help anything. *sigh* It's too early.
