The manual should be here but it looks like the link is broken. I have informed IFI of the problem and I would guess that you will be able to link soon via this page.

Meanwhile, a switch is connected between the signal and ground connections on the digital I/O pins.

Please search these fori for the words camera and encoder. There are numerous threads dedicated to these topics.
