Mize well have at least one dissenting opinion on here.

I think FIRST is all about the teams in the competition and not just those who come away with trophies and medals. That said, there has to be a way to recognize those teams who have gone so far above and beyond the call of duty. That's what the Chairman's Award is for.

The Chairman's Award is the greatest honor any team can possibly recieve. Keeping it's Hall of Fame closed to all but the best ensures that the prestige of those honored in it is maintained forever.

I doubt the FIRST Hall of Fame will be any sort of physical edifice, ala Cooperstown for baseball. (Though if it is or will be someday, I would definitely advocate honoring in it other teams in some other fashion.)
