Yes, we hope. I believe this is the way 254/60 did it last year (I think 22 did it too). The difference is that we have a hole in that shaft for the dog shifting shaft, which weakens it quite a bit. We did the math and it seems like it should be fine. We did some other things differently as to maximize the strength of that shaft with the hopes that an impact will not affect anything. Only time will tell.
