If it can be quick disconnected from the OI, I believe it would be allowed.
If it can be left sitting on the shelf, I believe it would be allowed.
If there is a wire running between you and the OI, that would not be allowed.
I know other teams have done human mounted controls, but don't remember the specifics of them. The intent of the "stand back 3 feet rule" is to make it clear that the robot is running in autonomous.
