Aces High puts on a great event every year, thank you to all of them, all of the volunteers who helped them and the crew from FIRST who assembled and dismantled the playing field!
I thought there were a lot of great designs in the robots that were there. Some were very quick. The ones that grabbed multiple tetras seemed to do well.
As a spectator, I was so engrossed in watching what our alliance was doing that I kept forgetting to see what the opposing alliance was doing!
The human player element isn't as simple as it appeared - I guess it isn't always easy to tell when your robot is in place from where you are standing? And I think they have to be VERY careful about following the rules.
Maybe someone can comment on the penalties that were assessed?
(EDIT:see
http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=34990 for a discussion about penalties)
(And just as an aside, if you were there and your mentor did
not receive a package of handouts from me from NEMO, please PM me; I tried to get to each team in the pit area)
