Yes, we used the same
mascot as
last year. Although we got rid of the mask we originally had because it got extremely uncomfortable, and it was very difficult to see through. For the most part, keep your parts light and comfortable. We used mostly styrofoam, with velcro harnesses and padding (on the inside). The mascot had wooden stilts last year, but we upgraded with some metal ones for this year. There are already plans to make an entirely new mascot for next year. You just have to wait and see...
Although if you want to go with simplicity, go with the
Backpack Mascot made entirely out of pvc and duct tape!
