Las Vegas has venues to host us all in one building - competition, pits, wrap party, hotel space, food venues - all under one roof. In fact, they have enough venues like this that we could probably just show up without even phoning ahead ;-)
There is that business about Sin City and all, but I think that it could be managed.
Cheap flights from almost anywhere, nearly infinite hotel capacity, many venues, warm climate. I think it could be a winner.

There are many possible venues and tons of hotel space. Unfortunately, I think it is the "Sin City" business that will keep championships out of the picture for Vegas at least for a while. I think I remember hearing one of the students on my team in charge of hotel booking and whatnot say that only non-gaming hotels were available for booking with FIRST. I know of a couple of teams from the Phoenix regional who got a better deal staying in a hotel/casino.
