In case people have forgotten, I founded/organize/manage the Beantown Blitz in Boston. In 2003/2004 I ran around the country volunteering at events to specifically learn how they operated. I taught myself and I'd be willing to pass along what I learned to any other post-season event coordinators. Maybe we could arrange for a phone call.

i will have to disagree with you Erin...while the FIRST Fields are much nicer in quality it defiantly isn;t worth the insurance money and the shipping cost on the fields when you can get the NASA one for just the cost of gas to get here and some food. besides you get 2 great guys with that Field who have done more off season events then anyone else.
Alex don't give up so soon, there are alot of people interested and i think with a group collaboration we will be able to pull this off. maybe what we should do is start a committee after nationals that will work logistics. different people are good at different things and i am sure with enough intelligent and dedicated people this is a very doable project for the September time frame. come find me at nationals and we can talk if you want, because i have a few ideas on how to manage this endeavor
