Lets see.... I wish I had the chance to watch our bot from the stands (atleast once or twice) when i used to drive, that wouldve been interesting. Neat Idea.
As far as 2 or 1 drivers (assuming an arm), depends on who you have, and your machine.
If you do not have a turret or an arm that extends/ telescopes out, then the arm guy relies a lot on the driver for positioning. The coordination between the two people is a hard thing to learn, you have to have a system. yet, one person for base and one for arm leaves each with less to think about.
With my experience driving tractors/front end loaders moving dirt, if I had someone move the attachments while i drove, that would drive me nuts. Because of this, I think that one robot operator would be more efficient, if the person has the skill and can endure the stress. I would've liked the oppurtunity to try it.
