In 2001, Team 25 (2000 National Champions) made Robo-Kong (I believe that was the name). It didn't really walk, but it would move to the bar in the center of the field and then do a "handstand" to carry itself across the bar. A very neat exercise in robot locomotion.

Their 2000 Champion robot had a very unique strategy also. Catch them in Atlanta and I'm sure they can provide more details on both.

By the way, they are in Gali-LEO!!!
