In a perfect world, yes. However, many teams do not have any people who are great at driving robots. Many more teams, especially rookies, don't finish their robots in time, and end up choosing drivers without anyone on the team ever having driven a robot. Even with good drivers, robots can break and become hard to control, or your robot could be pushed by another team (perhaps one with limited visibility across the field). Tetras will, and did, get dangled, regardless of how good the drivers should be.
