It's a great way to
keep from doing my english paper play around with some free time--I love it. Outside of the cosmetics you mentioned, I would suggest adding a restart button, so you don't have to reload the page every time the clock runs out.
Or, if you are feeling frisky, how about a two-player mode? (P1 takes the arrows and those other buttons, P2 uses WASD and nearby keys)
