IB is the International Baccalaureate program. It supposedly has international appeal if you're planning on going to school out-of-country.
The IBO's program is very ironic, in my opinion, because it requires volunteer hours (when you require it its not really volunteering....). I'm not a big fan of it because, aside from the things I've heard from my friends' parents, its been pushed too hard in our school and we dont even have a very good langauge program (one of IB's focuses is internationalism and thus language), having only 3 different, western languages at present.
