Re: Titles Of Music Played At Regionals?
I met the music DJ at the Rochester Finger Lakes Regional.
He did confirm that there was an "approved" playlist as he (or FIRST) had to acquire the rights to play the tunes at a public venue. Remember, these things are indeed copyrighted (hint, hint).
So, I'll see if FIRST responds with the full list. It's then your responsibility to go and buy the music if your're using it for your highlights videos and/or commercial purposes.
By the way, what they heck is the name of that Latin song that got onto the webcam from the guy in New Jersey; they did play that at Nationals.
Music review of three regionals and Nationals:
1) Finger lakes. Great "mosh pit" for line dancing. lot's of Cotton Eye Joe
2) Cleveland. HUGE dancing in the stands; really rocked for dancing, but lots of YMCA
3) Toronto. Lot's of more techno but lower volume; great international flavor
4) Nationals....not crazy enough. Sound on Newton arena was muted much of the time.
Oh well. I'm dialing up the dial now......
