What makes you say that? While consoles are just now being able to output to 1080p at a whopping 25fps or whatever that spec is, computers have been able to nearly double that. Lots of games are easily playable on a computer at 1600x1200 or higher. Also, can consoles do either AA or AF? To be honest, the biggest setback to a console, IMO, is the TV. With surround sound on my computer superior to most basic home theaters, a widescreen 23" LCD, top of the line graphics card, and a nice KB/mouse, I'd totally give the high-end gaming award to the PC.
