Genderisms with Vex

Alright, I got myself a kit last week. And I love it--I see lots of possibilities coming from Billfred Industries.

Of course, I'm sure I'm not the only person to notice that the Vex parts have a different gender setup (with the controller being female and the switches/motors/etc. being male) than most other devices (which are the other way around). Other than that change (and the communication changes on the radio end), all signs from the group seem to say that this is a normal Robovation. I can only guess it's to motivate folks to buy Vex parts, which I understand--but I also am all for some good clean hacking.

This has led me to wonder--has anyone found a gender changer (presumably male-male) that would allow such trickery?
