I would also not like to see FIRST turned into a robotic Mighty Ducks. However, Disney has to go to someone to get some information. I'm pretty sure Dean and Woodie will push against a cheesy, miracle team movie. Also, looking at the post in the general forum, It looks like the 'miracle' is going to be the fact the team exists and gets the gang members back on the road to college. I would hope at least Dean and Woodie would get a say in what the movie shows about the organization.
