Yes I have. At lunch, we are usually allowed to stay late after the bell rings... and after we are finished, a teacher will write us a pass. However, the other day, the teacher in the cafeteria refused to write any passes because some people had left their trash at the table. Apparently he thought it would be effective to punish the people not responsible for the mess... and so he would not write me a pass, even though I tried to convince him that it wasn't fair. Ugh. Luckily, I have a pretty good reputation amongst teachers, and my teacher was fine with me being late.

Have you ever wondered what motivates people to give up?
