I totally agree with Karthik with this list. My two cents:
10. Team 245, 2005
Incredibly biased, but I really like this bot
8. Team 47, 2000
The swerve drive of The Chief in 00 (and even in 99) is one of my most awe-inspiring memories I have of FIRST. I think other mentors on 217 would agree with me that this robot is one example of what hooked us into FIRST.
4. Team 71, 2002
The most terrifying bot I have ever seen. From that first "WHAM!" then the jaws open and the goals are goners. This bot made me want to hide!
3. Team 67, 2005
I'm angry that Gina Sweet got more medals in one year than many people have in 10 . Good bot though. I really liked the 65,66,67,68 Chairmans/Alliance at Great Lakes. When the bots are this good, you wonder how the sponsor company can be struggling so much
1. Team 71, 2001
If there are two robots that I would be satisfied losing to in the Final Four, it would be the above two robots (which is what happened .). At Nationals, it was back and forth - first they get their typical high score, then our alliance managed to top it, then THEY had to go and TOP THAT score for potentially the highest score in FIRST ever (740 pts? correct me if I'm wrong). You just can't win when there's such a spectacular bot around
