Re: Project Ideas
We haven't started FLL yet in Holland (yeah... I know, bad us. We did tryouts last thursday though.. they start meeting tomorrow)
Ideas that have made for good ways to present the research can be...
-Skit (my old 8th grade FLL when I was on it did a news program, it worked well for the city sights challenge.)
-Video (record the skit, story, and/or song and present it.)
-Stories (create a story with the research.)
-Songs (if you have anyone willing)
those are some good ways that you can present your info and let them have fun with it.
The judges like it when the WHOLE team presents as well. Always make sure to have your team try to have everyone involved.
---
This is going to be my 3rd year of mentoring a FLL team (I'm a Highschool Junior), and in my first year, I learned the hard way that research does need motivation. The kids are more likely to be all "Let's do programming or building!" then they are to say, "Let's do research!"
