Outsourcing

After talking with some fellow FIRSTers about this topic, it was suggested that I start a thread on it. I would like to hear what the other members think of outsourcing, especially since it seems that so much of it is happening in science and technology fields these days. Obviously there are a lot of cons about it, but there are also a lot of less discussed pro's that I've been hearing about lately. Here are the ones that I have been able to come up with.

Con's:
-jobs are being taken out of the US
-workers are losing benefits and wages are decreasing in the US

Pro's:
-world is becoming more global aka, more jobs for everyone in the world as opposed to so many of them being in the US
-other countries in the world are now able to have things that people in the US have had for years

So I guess that the overall I'm seeing outsourcing bringing a trend of world monetary distribution. I'd like to hear other opinions on this issue but I think that it might be a bit too touchy to throw into the general forums, so I'll put it in moderated.
