That is not right, you combined the 2 different types of points in FIRST,

Ranking points are the same as a win loss record in other sports, FIRST just assigns points to help simplify calculations.

Match or qualifying points are the tie breakers, If you score 100 points and your opponent scores 10 then you get 2 RP and 10 qualifying or match points, your opponent gets 0 rp but still gets those 10 match points, this means that even though your very strong alliance was able to score 100 points another team that won 26 to 25 is in much better shape than you are in overall standings.
