Re: Robot Rodeo

I just got an email from Dan Welsh.

Quote:

Robot Rodeo NOT being held this year.

Teams, I'm sorry to report that we will be postponing our Robot Rodeo for this year. As you know, the event had been scheduled for November 12 at Freedom High School. Unfortunately, due to many logistics problems and serious cost issues involving the playing field shipping from FIRST, etc, we will not be able to have the event this year.

I hope that you will be at the next Robot Rodeo in Fall 2006.

We have been holding the Robot Rodeo in Central Florida for the last 5 years, and we will make sure it continues to be a high-quality event. We would not want to put on the event without being able to play the full game, etc, .... we believe it's better to postpone it for this year, rather than doing something that would not meet or exceed the standards of past Rodeos.

I assure you we'll be working to overcome this year's hurdles and will bring back the Robot Rodeo, bigger and better in Fall 2006 !

In the meantime, many of you will be at the DeVry University Orlando Campus, Robot BootCamp on Saturday Nov 19, we'll see you there.

Thanks, and sorry for the late-breaking bad news.

Wishing you all success in the upcoming FIRST Season,

Dan Welsh .
