Sometimes a battery will pick up a "surface charge" that looks good until you put a load on it. The best thing to do is run your batteries through a battery tester. Al S. should be able to point you in the right direction there. If your backup battery has a good solid charge, then this shouldn't be an issue. In fact that's why we have the backup battery.
