Edit: Oops, Misread your post... You can use these steps to program the big robots, or if you want to you can go purchase any 9Pin board and use this in the same way.

I presume you are using VPC or something to that effect? If so, you can go down to frys and buy any USB -> 9Pin adapter that says MacOSx on the box (which is most of them). Install the software, plug in the adapter and configure the port in VPC.

VPC Configuration is as follows:

Under "Settings..." select USB.
If USB is disabled, Enable USB.
Select the USB Adapter in the list and click the Check box.
Then insert the CD again and install the software on your Virtual OS.

These steps enable both MacOSx and Windows to see the device (which is important).
