I wanted to join band in 6th grade but the LAME-O director said "Girls don't play drums." So I never joined. Instead I've hand some friends help me out on the piano, always wanted to play but never did now I play by ear because I can't read music. I do know many people who are in band and choose to go to band comps over nats. Go fig! I know I would choose band.
