Re: UFH: Amanda Morrison

I have to admit I was completely humbled by the amount of people who have posted in this thread and said such wonderful and nice things. I can't believe I've been in FIRST for this long... every year passes so quickly and I can't believe it's already almost Kickoff again. Although it took me a little while to find my niche in the program, every moment spent has been one great memory after another.

I can't really fathom the great FIRST community that I have befriended and had the opportunity to work with over the past three years. I am astounded by the people I have met - their actions, successes, and friendship. In this thread alone, there are students whom I have talked with and whose papers I have edited, a Boston song reworded, about a thousand inside jokes with each of you, a couple embarrassing stories, and dozens of names that bring a smile, a handshake, or a memory to mind. Especially flattering were those that I haven't yet met, or even previously spoken with. I hope to run into you in the future, and live up to your expectations.

I can't wait to see all of you in the upcoming season. Many of your entries brought me to tears multiple times, and now is one of them. Einstein once said that the only way to escape the personal corruption of praise is to go on working. I can't thank all of you enough, so from now on I will try to show my immense gratitude in actions and hard work, and remind you what great mentors, heroes, and friends you have been to me over the years.

Your mentor, student, dance partner, college and career counselor, editor, human player, organizer, girlfriend, soccer mom, candygiver, secretary, sister, halloween costume, spellchecker, left hand, but most of all--friend,

Amanda
