It's been almost a week since registration officially closed, but the registered team list continues to grow
(1137 teams total up from 1128 at Friday's close).
California is the governmental entity with the highest number of teams (107).
It'd be interesting to list places by the highest percentage of growth this year, such as the UK's 250% growth.
(P.S. We have a signed Union Jack from 759's first year at NYC.)
I just noted the dynamics after the close of registration.
14 teams have added in, mostly veteran teams registering late, and 5 teams (including some rookies) have dropped out. I assume the primary cause is finances, but FIRST is obviously being as helpful and understanding as they can. I expect 10 or so teams might drop out when they can't make the payment cutoff tomorrow.
