This is accurate. The simple act of being
nominated for a Nobel Prize is essentially meaningless; most such submissions are rejected early in the screening process. (
You could nominate Saddam Hussein for a Nobel Peace Prize; in fact, some crackpot probably has.) The odds are very high that Mr. Williams' nomination was rejected swiftly, as Nobel Peace Prizes generally go to much more notable figures.

I'm in agreement with Bill's position on this point. The death penalty is a messy and uncivilized way of approximating vengeance.
