My main task to complete before the kickoff is to get together a prototyping kit for our team. Stuff like foamboard, straws, hot glue, tape, etc. And also brainstorming materials like paper and pencils, calculators and graph paper. This way, we will be able to make little models of the game elements and possible robot designs, and sketch out different concepts (and of course, one of our mentors always brings legos, so those help too. )

I'm pulling my hair out trying not to forget anything. Last year we all forgot calculators. One of our mentors had a calculator on his watch, so I spent the whole ride from our remote kickoff to our school (for the brainstorming session) with an itsy-bitsy calculator and some scrap paper trying to to calculate the height of a tetra in a moving vehicle. Never again.
