I found an aluminum chassis that meets the 8" x 16" x 2" specification on the Mouser (www.mouser.com) website. The OEM is Hammond and the part number is 1444-26. Mouser's part number is 546-1444-26. The cost is $21.70 plus shipping. I noticed that Digi-Key also stocks this part.
