Yes, it is possible to do things like this. However, a word of caution. Vision algorithms are
very costly computationally. If you want an example of this, do a search for "generalized Hough transform". That is about the most robust shape recognition system in existence. Only problem is, it would take over a minute to test
one frame on most people's desktops!
