<S03> still wins. Your shooter (and barrel, as clarified by Q&A) must remain in the 28" by 38" footprint for the entire match. Length is only limited by what you can fit into the box at the start and cannot expand out of it.
Why does <S03> win here? 2 reasons: 1) It's a limiting agent on <R08>, and 2) It's a safety rule and will be heavily enforced.
