Actually, we're changing what we used in the prototype, as we went for the smallest, lightest weight pulleys we could find, but they were not holding up.

They were MXL aluminum pulleys and 1/4" wide timing belts (where the "M" stands for mini).

We're moving up to XL steel pulleys and 3/8" timing belts for a more robust system. We'll know more about how this works tomorrow.

As far as were we are getting materials, I've found that StockDriveProducts.com has a very good selection, and most items available.
