Ask to do a presentation at one of their meetings. Talk about the team mates who have gotten FIRST scholarships. Recognize your mentors. Better yet, INVITE THEM TO THE CHESAPEAKE! Let me know if there is anyone like the head of the school board, who should be on our VIP list. It's all part of the "community" part of FIRST. I know how hard this is, but it is all part of what FIRST is. Let me know if I can help.

Thanks! Things with the BOE have gotten better over the years. They recognize us but don't fund us. For the first time, we now have a NEM--we'll make sure the community end picks up, especially since we're the only team in Howard County!
