My educated guess is that this data was generated by an automated test set up (perhaps an end of line tester?) and that it is either page one where page 2 has the chart that shows the cursor location OR that the machine itself allows the operator to place the a cursor over a part of the chart that is shown only on the test machine.
This definitely looks like an automotive test report of some kind -- quality control or inspection or some such. Notice that they calculate the effeciency of the gearbox: 76.92%
By the way 77% is AWESOME considering that the 117:1 ratio is done in at least 3 planetary gear stages ( 92% per stage -- not too shabby for planetaries with about 5:1 ratio each). I would typically design assuming 85% per stage - which would put the transmission closer to 60% efficient.
