Re: Robot songs
One of my friends tipped me off to "Girls Love Robots" by Pollen. It is a constant on my playlist during build season. I don't know about you guys, but I would totally dance Ally Sheedy-style with Wildstang 2002. Anyway, here's the lyrics:
followed the directive, all I found was obsolescence
flesh and bone will fade like any other
manufacturer malpractice given hearts and ammunition
you can't promise me you'll always love me, there's no program
it's so much more efficient - find a defect, replace it
and I covet the freedom to have a thousand volts just flow through capillaries of copper
number five is alive
its the perfect reply
the demand's been supplied
number five is alive
the olfactory sensor's overloaded, the circuit boards are jammed with romance
everybody knows that girls love robots
photoelectric eye can see its been programmed with loyalty
when it gets weary we'll install another, it's so simple
when human beings break, there's no clear process for repairment
no easy way to fix it
I can't depend on conduct, not commanded by coding
number five is alive
It's the perfect reply
the demand's been supplied
number five is...
when you buy your replacement parts
please be certain that they're only acme brand replacement robot parts
they were the first and they're still the best
so you can be positive nothing will go wrong today
no need for the service call on Saturday
yes, you can be positive nothing will go wrong today
no need for the service call on Saturday
