Why not? They're not electrical, pneumatic, lubricant or adhesive, so you can go through the allowable parts spreadsheet pretty easily. Just recall the ball visibility rule (for the beginning of the match) and the ball release rule (at the end of the match) in deciding how to implement it into your machine.
