Yes, have it exposed--but not enough for something to go through a hole unintentionally and turn off your robot. A hole for a finger probably won't slide; a slot wide enough for a hand will. Putting it on top is risky; I saw a team get hit in the top with a tetra last year and shut off. (The worst part: one of thier alliance partners wasn't allowed to start, making it 3 on 1.)
