I know it's hard to guarantee anything, but will there be an effort to have the matches starting before 11 AM and running a little tighter than a half hour or more in between?
We are building a new Field control system that will hopefully resolve last year's problems. There are manual ways to deal with things and we are using them as a backup. There is a dedicated field manager whose whole job is to see that the matches move, whatever it takes.

There are a few teams planning to come from San Diego and in deference to them we will not be holding matches until 10am, but if things are working the field will be open for practice before then. Due to the field control system not being quite a FIRST system, we probably won't be turning matches on a 5 minute schedule like a regional. We do intend to get down to a 7 minute schedule. Early matches might go as high as 9 minutes while we get teams "trained".

The plan is for scoring to be semi-automated. Real time human input that is tabulated electronically.

SCRRF is painfully aware of our reputation for slow matches and we are doing everything we can think of to correct this for this event.
