A 'hit' is actually any item from your web page. A main page with a stylesheet, a banner, and two pictures generates 5 hits when it is loaded. This equates to one pageview, and if it is the first page a visitor is viewing on your site recently, it is a visit.

Perhaps I need to rephrase what I said. I get about 30 unique visitors on my forum a day.
