In reality, I think most users just didn't realize that Sam Brown's artwork is totally irrelevant to FIRST, other than it features robots. I can obviously sympathize with those who were upset at the post, but just because they are ignorant about explodingdog doesn't mean they're thin-skinned. Taken out of context and applied to FIRST, yes, it seems like that could be the exact opposite of what the ChiefDelphi community (and the FIRST community, for that matter) has been trying to teach. Ignorance can spawn a wide range of emotions, good or bad. A forum like CD just presents more opportunities to do so.

I've been a fan of explodingdog and Sam Brown for years now. When I was in high school, I wrote and drew for a webzine that featured a Red Robot animation. I also enjoy Diesel Sweeties, which features Red Robot as a character. This is my desktop right now and I really love this, too.

Anyone else have a favorite drawing? I have a ton, not even worth linking to all of them.
