Dont worry about increased current, that is the whole point of the helium. As you approach absolute zero, the current increases to infinite while the voltage decreases to 0. Therefore, at absolute zero, you wont need the battery. And someone said that water will displace it? Mk, if its at absolute zero, then the water will be a frictionless solid mass with no kinetic energy.
