Now I think I know how this is going to work. The middle roller is powered, and the outer rails form a helix. By spinning the middle roller, the balls will be forced up the helix and into the shooter, which is mounted on a turret. If it is what I think it is, that is one really nice design. I cannot wait to see this robot in Atlanta this year.
