DC playdate thanks

A belated thanks from Dee and I to all the loyal vols who spent Feb. 18 at the National Building Museum in Washington DC helping set up, run and tear down the field for the 5th annual scrimmage for the local teams. We had over 30 teams sign up to come and like every year, we can't do this without the help. There were thousands of people who watched over the course of Family Engineering Day, including lots of small kids, sitting cross-legged on the rug cheering. I am just getting my voice back after talking with so many people. Special thanks to "Power-Up Mike Wade", along with Rob and Desiree who make the field possible. I am amazed each year at how beautiful this building is and how they let FIRST roll robots across the historic floor and leave metal shavings all over the rug! I wish I remembered to remove the camera from one of my pockets and take some pics.
Special kudos to Vex Team 18 who did an outstanding job at PR and letting the public drive their Vex bots.
