It's obviously no different here. The major point is that the awards that are given out, are based off a group of peoples thoughts and opinions. Not how the player performs, which is the basis of any Fantasy League.

Simply put, with the outside interferences (judges), the league strays away from the performence of the team on the field.
This is true--in most sports, winning the big one is the pinnacle of a team's season. And performance in the areas that count the most get rewarded the most.

In FIRST, however, the areas that count are different. The big one has, for fifteen straight seasons, had absolutely nothing to do with performance on the field. Our Lombardi Trophy, our Stanley Cup, is a clock that goes to the best team in the event at what really counts--changing the culture. To score the league any other way would be, with all apologies to the non-wrestling fans, akin to putting the Intercontinental Championship ahead of the WWE Championship.
